Cultural Education – Objectives
1. To promote awareness of and appreciation for Heiltsuk history and cultural traditions as interpreted by the Heiltsuk, both among our own people and within broader Canadian society, including educational institutions.
2. To promote greater understandings of the ways in which the history of the Heiltsuk has been shaped and influenced by developments within Canadian society and institutions over the past 200 years.
3. To promote the revival and further development of specific Heiltsuk cultural values, techniques, and traditions.
4. To promote, facilitate, assist, or undertake specific programs and projects to accomplish the above objectives.
